You have a Facebook Business page for several reasons. For one, you just have to be on Facebook, everyone is. And if you want your business to be noticed, you have to put it out there. But, the main reason for being there, is to get more customers, right?
Before your Facebook followers can turn into customers, there are some things you will need to do. You need to build your audience on your Facebook Business page, then drive inbound traffic to your website, then turn that traffic into qualified leads, and then nurture those leads into customers.
1) Make sure your Facebook Business page has searchable information.
Every section of your page needs to have content that’s relevant and helpful, but also searchable. Remember: All of the content on your page will be indexed by search engines, helping you attract more followers (and eventually customers) to your page.
Make sure the About section of your page includes:
- An overview of what your business has to offer
- A link to your website
- Any other information that will help followers to better understand your business
2) Put “Like” Boxes on your website and blog.
If you have a website or blog, which I hope you do, add social plugins to get people to ‘Like’ your page without having to go over to Facebook.com.
Facebook’s Like Button lets users like individual pieces of content on the web and share them on Facebook, but the Like Box is designed only for Facebook Pages. It’s an awesome way to influence social proof to strengthen your page. It displays your page’s number of Likes along with the faces of some of your Facebook followers.
3) Invite your friends to Like your Facebook Business page.
I’m sure you already have friends, family, and existing customers who would love to connect with your business on Facebook. Just ask. Whether in person, via email, or via Facebook, try asking for Likes and positive reviews.
