What is Inbound Marketing?

Inbound marketing is advertising a company through blogs, podcasts, video, eBooks, enewsletters, whitepapers, SEO, social media marketing, and other forms of content marketing which serve to bring customers in closer to the brand, where they want to be. In contrast, buying attention, cold-calling, direct paper mail, radio, TV advertisements, sales flyers, spam, telemarketing and traditional advertising are considered “outbound marketing”. Inbound marketing earns the attention of customers, makes the company easy to be found and draws customers to the website by producing interesting content. By creating content specifically designed to appeal to your dream customers, inbound attracts qualified prospects to your business and keeps them coming back for more.


What are my requirements when working with Social Jeanie?

We ask that you assign a dedicated point of contact with decision-making capabilities to work with Social Jeanie. This individual will be responsible for providing feedback and information within the agreed upon timelines. In order to achieve the goals in the timelines agreed upon, it is critical that this individual attend all scheduled meetings. Social Jeanie will need to be provided access to your current website, analytics data, and social media accounts, if available, within the first 5 business days after the executing the project.


How long does it take to get results?

Most inbound marketing campaigns take 6-9 months to start seeing a return on your marketing investment. The biggest factor in contributing to how fast or slow you see results is how much content you create on a regular basis. If you create 4 blog articles and one piece of premium content per month, your results are going to be slower than if you create 30 blog articles and 10 pieces of premium content per month.

At Social Jeanie, we do everything to best practices and take no shortcuts. Please understand that inbound marketing takes time and results don’t happen overnight, but it is the best and most effective method for proving your expertise, improving your brand visibility, engaging with your target audience, and driving leads and customers. If you don’t believe us, please do your own research, there are plenty of reports and studies that back this up.


Is Inbound Marketing right for my industry?

Probably. If you’re the type of business that needs leads, has a well defined sales process, a sales team (of any size), and needs help both generating more leads and organizing their sales opportunities with a CRM, you’re a perfect fit for inbound marketing. Why does it take three phases to get started?

At Social Jeanie, we believe in taking a very methodological approach to inbound marketing. We’ve developed a 3–Phase process to ensure your campaign is strategically planned out, properly developed, optimized, and effectively ran to ensure you’re hitting your benchmarks on a month-by-month basis.

Phase 1: Building your GamePlan. This is probably the most important and often most skipped part of many inbound marketing campaigns. We build the Inbound Marketing GamePlan to analyze your current marketing, identify critical benchmarks for success, and layout 12-months of inbound marketing activities to be completed in order achieve your marketing goals.

Phase 2: Develop your Campaign. Once we have a GamePlan in place, it’s time to put that plan into action and build the tools you need to successfully run an inbound marketing campaign. This includes building or optimizing your website, and developing any other tools you need to reach your goals.

Phase 3: Monthly Retainer Services. Now that we have a plan and your campaign has been developed, it’s time to drive traffic, convert leads, and grow sales. Our monthly retainer services will help you fulfill the activities outlined in your GamePlan by helping you create content on a regular basis, engage with your audience, convert leads, and do whatever it takes to hit your benchmarks.


Who’s going to be working on my account?

When you work with Social Jeanie, you’re assigned a dedicated account manager that is committed to helping you improve your inbound marketing, reach your benchmarks, and generate an ROI. Our account managers are fully-trained inbound marketers and are very good at what they do. They will help you plan your campaign, setup your inbound marketing tools, build content, analyze your results, and report on your performance. You can expect to speak to your account manager on a regular basis and they have your best interest in mind at all times.

Your account manager is also backed by a complete team of inbound marketers. Your account will be routinely be reviewed and discussed with the rest of the account management team that will help develop concepts and strategies to achieve your goals. Social Jeanie also has a team of in-house graphic designers to create all the initial and on-going artwork and designs, a team of developers that will help you build and optimize your website, and a support team for custom integrations and all of your technical needs

Lastly, Social Jeanie’s Owner, Jean Lanoue is also very involved in every account, monitoring the progress, and doing everything possible to help you get results.

At Social Jeanie, your value is that you get an entire team of marketers for much less than it would cost to try to bring all these services in-house. We want to be an extension of your marketing team.


How often will I speak to my account manager?

Often. You will receive a weekly one-hour strategy development phone call with your dedicated account manager throughout the life of your agreement. During these phone calls, you and your account manager will review the performance of your campaign, identify required upcoming marketing activities, allocate resources, and set timelines. You will receive an agenda before each call and receive a recap email following each call.

Your account manager will also be available for you on an on-going basis to answer any of your emails as needed.


What happens during the initial on-boarding call?

You will receive 1-hour on-boarding phone call with Social Jeanie’s Owner. The purpose of this call is to introduce you to your Account Manager, examine your brand and value proposition, identify the personas of your audience, discuss your pricing strategy, finalize your marketing goals, and have initial conversations of the inbound marketing activities required to achieve your goals. You will receive an agenda before the call and receive a recap email following the call.


How do I know if I need a new website?

When reviewing your website, we’re going to look for things such as whether or not your site is promoting your value proposition, has been built on a CMS, has an integrated blog, promotes your brand, is optimized for search and mobile, is converting traffic to leads, has a low bounce rate, has integrated calls to action, utilizes landing pages, loads quickly, and promotes a professional image.


Who writes the blog articles?

Social Jeanie offers a variety of blog article creation services. When determining who is going to create content for you, we’ll assess what makes the most sense. We can develop topics and write articles on your behalf, work with you to transcribe your thoughts into optimized blog articles, optimize your scheduled blog content, or simply train you to do it yourself. Our job is to help you maximize your resources and supplement with what you need to reach your marketing goals.


My industry is complicated, how is Social Jeanie going to create content for my company?

For some industries, the development of specialized content is a joint effort between the client and Social Jeanie.

Creating content on a regular basis is critical to the success of any inbound marketing campaign. At Social Jeanie, we’re experienced in working with companies in complicated and niche industries.

Some of the ways we help make your life easier is by transcribing your thoughts into optimized blog articles and whitepapers. We will assist you in the creation of videos and webinars, interview you and other industry influencers, build posts sharing tips, quotes, and examples, design infographics and other types of visual content, edit and optimize the content you send over to us, distribute your content on your behalf, and do pretty much whatever else it takes to help you create content on a regular basis as outlined in your Inbound Marketing GamePlan.


How many hours do you allocate to my campaign on a monthly basis?

Great question. We don’t work on a billable hour model. The activities needed to achieve your marketing goals are outlined in your Inbound Marketing GamePlan and when you we agree to start a monthly retainer with Social Jeanie, we agree that we can help you achieve those goals within that given timeline. Our monthly retainer services have been developed for us to be an extension of your marketing team, not an out-sourced contractor, and achieving your goals are as important to us as they are to you.

Wouldn’t you rather have a partner dedicated to your priorities rather than billing you for hours worked?
When I agree to work with Social Jeanie on a monthly retainer, am I locked in for 12-months?

Not at all. The duration of our monthly retainer agreements is for 12-months, but you can cancel at anytime by delivering Social Jeanie a written notice of cancellation. We believe in our process and our services. However, if at anytime your feel that Social Jeanie is not a right fit for your company, we’re not going to hold you hostage.


Am I guaranteed results?

We wish we had a magic wand. Unfortunately, results are not guaranteed – but here is what we can guarantee:

  • Inbound marketing is the most effective way to drive traffic, convert leads, and shorten the sales cycle from your marketing.
  • Social Jeanie is a top inbound marketing agency. We have many clients that have generated results, and we’ll be happy to provide references during our discussions.
  • You’re going to be assigned a dedicated account manager who is focused on generating your results. A Social Jeanie account manager only oversees a handful of accounts, so you can rest assured that they will certainly have their finger on the pulse when it comes to your priorities.
  • We’re going to do everything we can to generate results for you. We want to be an extension of your marketing team.
  • If we are not confident that we can achieve your goals within your timeline and budget, we will not take on your account. We want all of our clients to have a positive experience.


Can I see your references?

Sure. Just to make sure we’re not directing to many inquiries to our references, we have a policy that we only send out references after the goal setting call. You’ll certainly have the opportunity to contact them before you sign an agreement.


Who own’s the work completed by Social Jeanie?

You own your website and all content and graphics we produce on your behalf on receipt of payment.
